My name is Beth, and I’m one of the drummers in Pulse of the Place who got to perform in North Edinburgh Festival 2026. I took part in the parade where we saw performers from around the world and here in Scotland
proudly showcase their vibrant cultures and talents. It was great to see the people in the area making an effort to get involved in the event as many came out to watch and support
us performers!
Then it was time for the stage performances. Before our slot, we were able to watch some amazing dancers from India, another great youth band, and more! At our slot we played a few songs with Beat It which is a mixture of Pulse drummers and rock band Off the Rails. It’s always so fun to drum with other instruments like guitar, and another drummer, Emily, singing too!
Overall, the event was positive and bright with an array of talents and performances. A great day full of music, dance, and a welcoming atmosphere. A big thankyou to North Edinburgh Community Festival for having us along, we had the best time!
